What your child will learn from Project Plant It!

This spring, your child will be one of nearly 20,000 elementary school students in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Virginia to learn about the value of trees, including how they will moderate climates, improve air quality, absorb carbon, harbor wildlife, prevent soil erosion and reduce heating and cooling costs.

In January, all participating elementary school teachers will receive a Project Plant It! kit filled with lesson plans and activities about trees. Shortly before Arbor Day on April 25, every student in these classes will receive a tree seedling. In celebration of Arbor Day, students will experience the fun of planting trees with their families and classes.
