What your child will learn from Project Plant It!

Your child will learn about the value of trees, including how they moderate climates, improve air quality, absorb carbon, harbor wildlife, prevent soil erosion and reduce heating and cooling costs.

In January, all participating elementary school teachers will receive a Project Plant It! kit filled with lesson plans and activities about trees. Shortly before Arbor Day every student in these classes will receive a tree seedling. In celebration of Arbor Day, students will experience the fun of planting trees with their families and classes.
